HVAC Category Product & Pricing Manager

Scope

As the HVAC Category Product & Pricing Manager, you will assist in guiding the regional HVAC teams in increasing the profitability of existing products and launching new, strategically-accretive lines. You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • HVAC Category Product Management: Help General Manager in overseeing the entire HVAC product line, including product lifecycle management, inventory control and performance analysis.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitive products. Utilize this data to guide product line acquisition and marketing strategies.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
    Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, ensure product quality and build strong, long-term relationships.
  • Sales Support: Act as a first point of reference for all product-related enquires. Partner with the regional sales teams and vendor/internal marketing teams to provide product training, create marketing materials, and support customers.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor product performance through sales data, KPIs and customer feedback. Adjust strategies as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, supply chain and customer service teams to ensure the successful execution of HVAC category strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, sales management or pricing management, within the HVAC industry
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, and a solid grasp on product and market trends, preferably in Canada

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Infor SXE, Infor Prophet 21, SAP or Oracle
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving product success
